Got the remaining under car bars done, The window net fabbing is done & the snout bar engine front & mid plates are done. Just need to finish the chute handle lever & tabs, & driveshaft loop for now. I'll get some new pics tonight.
Then the only fabbing left to do is the rear axle spring perches, wheelie bar brackets & lower anti-roll bar tabs on the axle. I think we probably need to wait until I have it at ride height with all of the weight from the inteior, electrical, fuel system & drivertrain in to establish the correct pinion angle & locatation of the tabs. Or shoud I be O.K. to finish this & just shim the pinion angle later if needed later?

Oh yeah, forgot to mention. We still had the tubular steering column with removable steering wheel to do. We did that last night, it came out great. Even adapted everything to fit using my original woodgrain Challenger steering wheel. Window net even re-uses my factory flip style seat belt buckle too. Keeping it all Mopar.....More pics to follow.

All of the major chassis & cage is now done. I have an appointment with NHRA at our local track on Sat to get it certified for the 25.5 cert.

All the hard work has paid off. Passed the 25.5 cert on Sat. Now the fun begins with finishing up the rest of the car.

Latest updates: Primed, painted & cleared the seat brackets, parachute mount, steering column B5 blue to match the car & painted the Kirkey seats black. I don't like that alum look. Still waiting on the new covers to come in. I have the car all masked off & cardboard windshiled & rear window templates made since the windows are out. Priming, painting & clearing the cage is next. Not looking forward to this.

Painting a 25.5 cage SUCKS!!!!!! I remember having to paint it in sections........paint some bars, tape them off, paint some more, tape them off etc....to keep the over spray from getting on the painted bars. Took about 3 days to get it all done.

Yeah, I was expecting it to take at least 3 days to do myself. I was going to self etch prime the entire cage first. Then paint it with single stage B5 blue that I had mixed. Then I might still clear it afterwards too.
