I'm planning on putting new exhaust on my '77 B body A38. The car still has the factory exhaust on it with muffler that have an offset inlet/center outlet. I pulled up a Walker Exhaust schematic which shows the opposite...center inlet/offset outlet. The last time I went to the muffler shop I brought a pair of mufflers that matched what was on the car ('68 Road Runner) and was told they were wrong according to Walker. So I brought the "correct" set of Super Turbo's per what the Walker instructions said for the Road Runner.

I'm just curious if anyone else has one of these cars and what you used for aftermarket exhaust. I plan on going the "stock" route with 2 1/4" piping etc but planned on using Dynomax Super Turbos.

Thanks for any info.

I work at a shop where we do custom exhaust work.
The Dynomax Super Turbo is the closest muffler you can get to original.
So,I would go for it.
Sound wise,it is the same muffler.Quiet at cruising speed, nice idle.

Cool, so you used offset inlet and center outlets I see....correct?

I'm only being so anal because the Walker instructions say it should be the opposite even though I have the originals on mine.

My wagon came factory with single,so we bent up a set of duals.

Most RWD Mopars had offset inlets and center outlets,IIRC.

The exception is of course your car since the cat convertors take up real estate underneath and the pipes are not as tight to the middle of the car compared to non-cat equipped cars.
The addition of the convertors changed the exhaust layout starting in 1975.

Dynomax Number 17747 is recommended.
Same muffler used on older B's without cat convertors.
It is not a "directional" flow muffler.
Made to fit many applications.
Just install it in the position required for your car.
Hope this helps.

Looks like you have your answer...so now let me ask...what's an A38?

Hey, Cbarge. I gotta say, that's a great looking Satellite wagon. Nice. I like your exhaust choice too.
