Let me kick off the LX Challenger piece. I have 2010 RT PCP 6 spd. When I bought it, I received "Mopar Bucks" and immediately got the lowering kit, which I subsequently installed myself. I will say up front that I did not re-align the car and have had 0 effect thus far. That said, I only did one side of the rear at a time and marked where the rearend cradle was positioned before I removed anything. I also installed a tower brace as I read on one of the "other" forums tha this was all the heat and a "must have". I am not sure if it has that much effect, however I can say that after installing both, the car handles almost as good as my Viper. The car is lowered about 1.5" all the way around (which I really like), however it is a pain with speed bumps.

So, lets open the discussion about handling with the new Challengers.

Which Mopar lowering kit did you use? I keep hearing the adjustable coil overs are noisy.

If it came from Mopar and dropped 1.5" then it is a MP stage 2 kit. I've got them same setup on my 010 R/T.

yes, that is it. Very nice kit, easy enough to install and very adjustable via the adjustable coil over struts.

I can only speak for my car; I certaintly havent noticed any noise from the suspension. I did remove the rear mufflers and left the center resonator, so that might be masking any coil over noise, but I doubt it.

That's how I want mine to sit, been debating just spring or the coil overs.

I like the coil overs, easy to adjust. The instructions and magazine articles all say that you should set it a bit high initally or go back in and readjust as it will "settle", I can't say that I have seen this but I suppose it happens.

What I like about stage 2 kit with the front brace (no rear brace, lose too much trunk} is it handles like its on rails. On the highway at 120+ it hunkers down and is very stable like I'm doing 60. I'm with you on scraping, when I had American racing headers it would scrape on newspaper.

This SRT-8 has a full Hotchkis TVS kit.

When it was all stock it would chunk up the outer tires edge. Now it doesn't with the TVS kit.

Another thing I thought of on the stage 2 kit is my tires do not contact the body at all. No experience on stage 1, iirc it lowers an R/T 1". I went as low as I could with stage 2.
