I've called comp cams tech line and have gotten two different cams.
The first is 244/252 duration .520/.540 lift.
Second is 286/296 .550 / .570 lift. It is a solid lifter cam.

I thought i'd only get one answer from them so now I'm not sure which one. MY combo is:440 stock stroke, 10.5.1 compression, edelbrock performer rpms cnc ported, 1.5.1 mopar roller tip rockers,m1 single plain intake, 1.75 pri,3" collector doug thorley headers going to dual 3" exhaust. 3500 stall converter,3.91 gears, I may go to 3.23 for highway crusing, not sure yet. 27" tall tire. my carb is a holley 850 dp with proform main body. It's mostly a street car, but some racing. It is a challenger weighing roughly 3800 lb. I was also thinking about the mopar .557 solid. Thank you so much for your help, I truly appreciate the expert advice. Any guestimates on horsepower of this set up.

Neither...call Dwayne Porter at Porter Racing Heads and he'll set you up w/ something you'll love. 802-951-1955

I hope that 2nd cam is listed w/ advertised duration numbers and not the @ .050 like the first one.

That is the problem with most cam companies, you can call three companies and get three recommendations that are not even close. Then call them back and get three different answers.
The reccommended cams can't all be right.
I suggest you talk to an engine builder you trust. Dwayne is a good one,and the guys at Hughes build engines and sell their own line of cams,so they are pretty good too.
There are others here as well.
My main suggestion would be to figure out your gearing first,it will make a big difference in what is ideal.

Keith

It seems that the current trend on cam posts is to call a good engine builder...Now that is good advice but it makes for short boring posts... just a few years ago anyone & everybody threw in their on cams or posted a close combo with results.... and every now & then a good cam debate arose from the bickering Remember there are no cam police lurking on this site... So for those who are in the know, take a shot.... I know it gets repetitive but its a good way for people to learn

Post some more info on the suggested cams... Why are your trying to have us compare one cam with specs at 50 and then another with adv duration?
What kind of LSA do these cams have? What lobes are they?
If your wanting Comp Cam look at the SQ lobes in there online catalog...
Or like other said, call someone who'd done a bunch of these, with lots of dyno time under there belt... Cant go wrong with Porter Racing Heads....

I wondered about the same things, so I looked it up in the Comp Cams catalog.

You want a street car that is a good dragster as well...well...it ain't 1970 where you can get 110 octane etc BUT...we have better heads and better cam design and WAY better converters.
With GOOD heads ( this means anything from a set of stockers with bigger valves and a bowl hog job to Stealths and Eddys) a GOOD distributer curved right and a good carb--you can go very fast!
Cam is all about what gear you are willing to live with and are you a streeter or dragger? Make up ya mind---I have had many B Bods with bad ass engines and 410 gears --They were wicked fast with 244-255 at 050 cams, loose converters etc but a PIA as a street car. I have had a ton of them with 3.55 gears 230-240 at 050 cams , tight converters etc that were a BLAST to drive but would not throw up a 10.90 run cams are gear vs converter vs your desire for ?????

It's hard to recommend something when he is not sure which gear ratio he wants yet. Once he has that nailed down it will be easier.
I am not a big fan of most of the shelf grinds Comp offers, most of them are comprimises. But a custom grind from them can be ordered to take advantage of what he has.

Thanks all, I will call porter racing heads monday. I had some thoughts about 3.23's, but I won't be doing enough highway driving to worry about it. I'll stick with the 3.91's.

A solid lifter ground to take advantage of the head flow sounds like the hot ticket to me.
