I have a 1790 Charger R/T 440 California emmission car, and while we were cleaning up the undercarriage we found a shield/brace/cover that is bolted to the right side framerail.

Does anyone know what this covers? is it on all cars or CA emmission specific cars?

thanks!

I think it's a shield for the fuel tank vapor separator hoses....keeps exhaust heat away.

My '70 is also a CA car and also has whats in your picture. I also figured that it was a California emissions thing.

I am fairly certain that shield is found on all 70 Chargers regardless of N95 or not. I have a non N95 Charger R/T with the same feature.
