We tried 4/7 our SS Hemi motors and found nothing in drag performance. We called it the "Oldsmobile Rocket" firing order. Don't forget you plug wires......ask me how

Good theory but no diff in ones I have done. Like most "tricks" I usually get out run by a guy with a dingle berry honed .590 solid cam with lifters he got from his brother in a car that you need a tetanus shot to drive --No tricks except he needs the winnings to pay the rent. ![](/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif)

Anyone know what the 5.7 Hemi uses as a firing order?
Firing order is 1-8-4-3-6-5-7-2, Left bank from front to back is 1-3-5-7, right bank from front to back is 2-4-6-8. same as a sb.

Interesting subject. ![](/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/1343795-scratchchin.gif) Noteworthy forum reply quoted from Hot Rod at the bottom of this page. The intake manifold theory seems legit. Would anyone who has swapped firing order care to provide a sound clip? ![](/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/devil.gif)
