Looks great, Gary!

Thanks, I used old Direct Connection connectors that are only 1.5"X2." and don't go through the floor. This car makes my other car without connectors suck to drive. The car is way better with them even though they are so small and lite, I didn't want to cut my unrusted floors.

3/16" thick!?! That must have weighed a ton! I used 2x3" square tube .100 wall and that was plenty thick. Slotted open the front part of the rear sub-frame so the 2x3 tube slides right inside it and weld it all back up after. Came out great.

do you have any pics of this?

I used XV connectors. I'm not saying they are any better than any other product , just that those are the ones I used.
I liked the pre-cutting that conformed with the floor pan so I did not have to cut my brand new pan. I spent about 45 minutes doing a little fine tune grinding here and there and they fit right in.
The car was leveled on 4 bottle type jacks for ease of adjustment.
I have not driven it yet but it moves around very nicely and I haven't noticed any alignment issues.
Here are a few pics.

I tack welded them in on the jack stands then turned the rotisserie to finish the welds.

Here are a couple pics of my brother doing it on his 66 charger. You can see the connectors stick through the floor a small amount in the rear passengers feet area but it's not noticeable at all when you trim the carpet insulation out directly above that part of the frame connector then throw a rubber floor mat back there.

We have a sloped downhill driveway. After putting in the connectors the car doesn't pop & crack when going in or out of the garage.

The bigger reason was I planned on using slicks at the track.
Buddy's '70 Challenger's side longitude stripe stopped lining up on the pass. side & that was all I needed to see/hear.

My unconnected Challenger began ripping behind the quarter glass and I had passenger door alignment problems too. Of course this took years and years of abuse before this started happening.

There are three generic types. Square or rectangular tube, fitted sheet steel and round tube. On an E and I believe B, 2"x2" square tube will fit under the floor. 2"x3" requires a small cut in the floor.

I am using the 2" square tube type from Auto Rust Technicians. Connectors are basically a piece of square tube with correct length and angles on the ends. The connectors make a huge difference as many have posted.

You can also slice the top of the rail and bend to get enough clearance for the floor. In my case, I wanted a point to tie to the cage, so through the floor made sense. I can understand why you would not want to cut the floor though.
