I've got a possible buyer for my 64 Hemi Savoy. My problem is they want a stock interior and I have a Gary Ball SS interior. I need front and back seat cores, door panels and arm rests. Would be nice to trade someone wanting a SS interior, otherwise what is the best source for what I need? SMS?

Wow, now I've heard everything! Closer to you than SMS is Original Auto Interiors in MI, but as far as seat cores, you need '63-'65 stuff. Check with Legendary, maybe they have the Savoy side panels. The slickest deal would be to trade your stuff for someone's nice OEM interior like you said; maybe try an ad in the B-body, Race parts, and/or Trade sections here. I have the seat vinyl material in blue, but that doesn't help you (I bought it before I found NOS covers). BTW the gas pedal should be at the forward inboard corner of the heel pad.

I'd tell the buyer to take a hike. The car is sold as is. If he wants to change out the interior let him deal with the headache.

If he wanted a stroked Max Wedge instead of a Hemi would you build one and do a swap just to accommodate him?

WOW SMS says 6 months wait for door panels!! Is that the only source for a 64 Savoy or Belvedere? If so I'll sell it to someone who wants it as is.

Just Dashes did my '63 door panels and it was 10 months or so. And it was $1100, IIRC. Never again.

SMS told me 6-8 months to build a set of door panels for the Savoy and the price was $750.00. As far as front bench seat core, you will need one from a '64-5. The '63 was the last year for the 60/40 split. You need the 50/50.

I was going to say something earlier not to use SMS if you wanted to sell the car this year but it was kind of negative. They quoted me 5-6 months in 2010 to do door panels for a 65 Satellite. It took them 1 year, 1 month and 1 day to get them back. Got them back a few months ago and haven't even looked at them. So basically double what they tell you. And I have heard that from a few different people since then.

I'm about half tempted to trade you... I have the '64 Savoy I bought from you years ago but with the correct (new)interior now..

It just wouldn't fit in with the max wedge motor.
