We just fix the top two corners and the lower back corner to the cage and use a heavy duty snap clip at the swing bar.You can add a catch to the top of the cage to clip it up for entering and exiting the car.

I am also looking at doing the same thing.Last week a good friend had me transport his car to & from a chassis shop that did this same installation.
I question how strong that pin is.There is no positive stop for the swingout bar.So god forbid a hard direct hit in the drivers door,if that pin shears the bar is going to contact the drivers shoulder.
Please tell me if I'm over-thinking this

HEMI-ITIS has no cure.
My condition is fully BLOWN!!

Thats a hardened pin that is in shear so it'll take
a LOT of force... IF you really want to add more to
it, weld the inside edge of the latch area so the
bar hits the inner wall(welded area) at the same time
as the pin is loaded

make a stop on the inside of the tounge or the outside of the clevis. This makes it easy to drop in the pin quickly. Also it makes the tech guys happy.
