Has anyone used a Electronic Lean Burn Distributor from the later 70's/early 80's with a MSD Crank Trigger on a small block? Is it as simple as changing the plug to match the MSD 6AL or 7AL?
Thanks in Advance

when you use a crank trigeer, that is where the pick up is, This means the dist will not have to plug into anything as the pickup in it is not being used at all (your msd violet and purple wires go to the trank trigger). When you use a crank trigger, the distributor is only for the coil's spark to be distributed to the spark plug wires, thats it....Lean burn dist would be perfect for that

Like was said... the crank trigger is picking up
when to fire.... the dist is just the distribution
point for the spark
