I was made aware I don't have the rear bumper filler on my 70 Challenger. And sure enough there are 12 holes running under the tail lights.

I found them for sale, but are they metal or rubber?
How do they attach, screw or plastic push clip?

Any pics would be appreciated, I had no idea something was missing?

Do '70 & '71 have a rear bumper filler? I know '73-'74 do. The early years the bumper was tucked in tight to the body. Later years used a filler to fill the gap when they extended the bumper out due to changes in safety standards.

Maybe I'm just thinking of a different part than you are.

70-72 used a metal filler under the tail lights. There is still a small gap between the bumper and the tail panel on the 70-72's.

The gap is very small. I'd really like to see a pic of 1 installed on a car.

Thx for all the replies. The only benefit I can see, it would at certain angles looking straight down, eliminate you being able to see the bumper brackets.

I'll have to get a closer look at the next car show, luckily the annual big Mopar only show is next month.
