iv noticed when buying new belts in redoing the challenger that the v belt rides higher up on the pulley groove then the older belts the total width of the new belt is wider
does any one not make thinner belts?
the guy at parts store said just had to widths to choose from 1/2 and 3/4
i got the 1/2 and that is what im comparing to the old belt
just lke to get a belt that will sit down in the groove lil deeper

I noticed that the good year gator back has some 14/32" (0.44") wide belts, the 15xxx series.
The 13xxx series is 0.38" wide.

Got the ones for my kids 62 300 at Advanced. They had to look them up but they have been on for years and no problems.Even at 5400 rpms they never move.I have a NOS belt on my 65 thats been on for 5 years. It spins over 7K all the time.Got the molded hoses at Advanced also.Ordered one day got them the next day.Rocky
