How much do head gaskets compress?

Got a new set of the p4120094 head gaskets. They are supposed to be .024 to .028 installed,, but they are .041 in the box. Will they compress that much? They have a metal fire ring around the cyls.
Also,, why a .004 difference in what they compress to? Is mopar perf. just guessing?

They're labeled wrong... they will go about .002... the .024-.028 is the variance in the specs so they can be at either end of the spec and still be good
