Dont ask me we just broke number three

I guess it is time to bite the bullet and go to one of those gurus cause it seems obvious we dont have a clue what we are doing at this point.

He charges California prices though...I keep saying I should do it myself but I'm obviously missing something. 3 glides in 300 passes all with broken planetaries. Maybe I should just step up and buy better part

Try to find a good builder close to home. Shipping costs are very high. Marco Abruzzi is my first choice.

Dave Klaput
Best on the business
I've seen top caliber racers destroy a rossler in Georgia every 2 passes bolt in one of Dave's and not break a thing

Kevin Fiscus put 67 passes on his Trans, took it out and it was still in great shape

That car makes 3000hp and weighs 3300 lbs.

I dont think he will need the lower first gear in
a light car... the 1.76 should be fine

I have an Abbruzzi and it's a great transmission. He's also a racer, I'd go with him again.

Al, you probably know this but, if you're not using straight cut 1.74 planitaries, that's you problem. The 180's are weaker and not that much quicker.

I build my own PGs. Get a copy of Carl Monroe’s Powerglide Handbook, follow what he recommends, and use good parts. I agree with Mike you shouldn’t need the 1.80 gear in a light car. The key to making a PG work with your engine/car combination is getting the right convertor.

Exactly, that's what I was gonna say.
Trans Specialties and Coan Trans has supplied me with the parts and I build them myself.
