Raised. Really with the unfinished work, you can raise them a little more or lower them if u need to. I am assuming there is enough metal around them to go either way. Have u thought of calling Stage V and discussing with them

Ok I just found this ... STAGE V CUSTOM HEADS Price: $2,350.00 Quantity: Brief DescriptionDetailed DescriptionSpecifications#S-426 (CLICK ON IMAGE) If you are building a high output motor based on an original or aftermarket 426 HEMI type block, these heads are for you. They have larger than stock intake ports and are capable of supporting as much power as you can build around them. In fact these heads hold the speed record at Bonneville for a wheel driven vehicle at 433 mph. Optional raised exhaust ports offer exceptional gains in breathing. Intake valve can 2.250 to 2.400 and exhaust can be from 1.900 to 2.000. Cumbustion chamber 168 It seems they have 3 different castings, the replacement, the custom -these, and the millenium. Im pretty sure the custom is what I have. ....My question is would the Custom head come with different seats depending on intended valve size or is it the same seat for 2.25 to 2.40 ? ? ? Thank you very much for your time guys

about 2.25
You won't get a 2.40 on that so I think you have your answer.

The set of Stage V heads I had looked a lot like yours, the smallere exhaust ports, drill and machined for the future use of dual plugs and so on They where purchsed by the original owner to use on a seroius SS/AA car, he forgot to cll NHRA before buying them to see if they where on the approved replacemnt head list, they weren't So my customer bought them at a good price and we used them on his blown street Hemi project Stage V is really hard to get contact with, there way to busy, I guess, to take care of new business
