YES... the 4.5 axles will interchange with your 5.5 axles.
if you were closer I have a set of rotors and even a nice set of wheels that would fit. Id be interested in the fender and door mouldings.. the shortbox moulding wont work on my long box Dually..
I doubt I'll stip the moulding off if it leaves big holes to wled up underneath it
I'll have to see where we end up , body shop ,etc
I might even sell if before any of that happens
but, I'll look for more moulding in junk yards around here, they do show up at one yard often and if they do, the price is always fair
Thanks for all of your help & advice
stay tuned

new headlight bezels are fair price from rockauto and tail lights member thedodgeboys has stuff for them also,I got the full rubber set for mine Allen had one roll pan left and he has some of those euro tail lights for them too. the plastic piece for the trim are $$$$$$ when removed there are no holes per say but it will have a lot of the rivit/studs to be removed...in the lower corner of the cab,the trim piece does have a small hole were it bolts a clip to hold the trim on. i shaved it all off of mine. if the 8 3/8 10 bolt axle aka 8 1/4 does swap axles i have a set thats 5 on 4.5 if you want( is a complete rear axle 3.2? gear ) FYI.gear ratio will be stamped in the ring gear along with yr i will look around for part #s for the rotors,i have the ticket somewhere when i got mine from autozone...50$ each the gear indicater has a small box gizmo on the back of the gauge cluster that has a cable hook that hooks on a sloted arm on the colum. its the first thing to go most times and if someone droped the colum loose and did not un-hook it it stretches it out of wack. i will look at a few of the cluster I have and see if there is a good one if you need it if you pull the heater control..very gently as the switch likes to break off of the rack. I swaped all mine to 85 wire harness/colum and got rid of the turn sig dimmer and wiper stuff myself,it has problems when its beat to death...yours not so much probly.

Ok...that's all I got in truck/van wheel knowledge! Right off hand, I'd say listen to Scratchinfotraction and forget the rest of us...lol. Well, maybe Mopar Jamie too.
Well, I guess the rest of us don't know anything & you're the judge! Can you disprove what I posted? I know that you can't. You're not only disrespectful to me but to everyone else who has posted a reply. This thread was made for a group of replies from more than just a select few of your choosing. W
Please , don't be upset with Jackie , we know each other and he is kinda messing with me
was not pointed at you, trust me
Sorry if you took it wrong ..
Daryl, I'm sorry if I took it wrong. I love your truck, it's a great canvas. I can't wait to get my Shortbed home. Bob
Bob....Daryl is right, and I was just being silly and messing with him. I'm quite sure that you, Scratchn, and plenty of others have forgotten more about trucks then I'll ever know. Sorry about the Wheaties....I'll be glad to send a new box.

Very nice truck! Did someone say silver? Here is my '85 shorty. Original slant truck with OD 4, it now has a 318 in it with a cast OD-4 behind it. This was the motor and trans out of my '87 I wrecked. When the original 8 1/4 kicked up (not welded right) I decided to run an 8 3/4 with 5 on 4.5 bolt pattern to utilize my 15x8 stock steel wheels. Mine is from a '72-'74 truck. The axle is flipped and it decided to kick up on me today so I plan to get it welded soon. I have about 2 to 3 inches of clearance between housing and frame. On the front I am going to go with '81-'84 rotors so I can have matching bolt pattern. OK here is a pic. Dont get jealous because it is silver.

The bearing diameter O.D. changed not the I.D. if I remember correctly I've always put an 83/4 in an not messed with either one anyway. I can't say that I'm right all the time for I am not a higher being. I don't claim to be & do not proclaim nor do I judge any of you. BOB
According to the bearing specs on Rockauto the inside diameter changed aswell
