I have a 2002 Dodge Ram pickup with a 4.7. 115k the plugs were changed from chamption to NGK about 10k miles ago. Today while accelerating full throttle onto the highway I noticed a high RPM miss. It starts about 3700 rpm and gets worst unti it shifts at about 4500 RPM.
It does not fall flat on its face like hitting the rev limiter its more of a slight miss. Other than this it starts, idles and runs fine. Still getting my 14.7 combined highway, side street MPG.
Any ideas on what t olook for? or how to check for a bad coil? Scott
