What is the trick to getting seat tracks apart? Not off the seat but actually breaking down the seat track itself.

There is a limit of travel tab that you will have to bend to take them apart. Mark the halves and take some pics first.

Thanks for the info. Would you happen to have a shot of the tab in question? Is it common to the base or the slider?

I think the tabs were on the inside the track roller keepers shown in the lower left of the pic. Its been a few years but if you look at them closely (I use a magnifer )you will see the tab that limits the movement at full travel. The ones I my pic were really bad and I had to take them apart to get them to work properly. If you need the return spring (the bigger red one) they are made by a company called Dynamic Renovation.
