Need help with figuring out what carb came on this car. New to this and don't know where to go to look it up.

Broadcast codes: Eng. 897 Carb.98 Choke 45

4 spd. manual w/AC
Has a Holley but that can't be right. Is engine code for 335Hp
VIN RM23H9G236325

What would I replace it with if I bought a new carb? Edelbrock

You are correct, it did not have a Holley originally, it had a Carter 4711S. The 98 code is the last 2 numbers of the original Chrysler carb part number. The attached parts book page gives the Chrysler and Carter part number (click on "attachment" for full size view). I have an Edelbrock 650 on my stock 69 440 and like it. Perhaps others will give opinions for a 383.
I don't have info on the 897 engine code but the H in the vin is the 383 high performance.

I was thinking that a '69 Road Runner with 383-4 speed combo would be a 4615S, but that would be for a non-A/C car. The OP's car has A/C. Hmmmm....

Here's a previous discussion where the OP has a 383 4-speed Runner and is asking about the original AVS carb: Moparts AVS thread

4711S is the correct carb number , also note the A/C cars didn't get the 335HP engine , they received the 330HP engine.

So,
383 4-speed: 4615S
383 4-speed w/AC: 4711S

Learn something new every day!

If that car's triple green, F8, bench seat, Spring Special package, might be my old car, in which case contact me.

Rats.... I have a 4615S that I lovingly restored for my 69 RR 4 speed with AC that I am about to assemble. Looks like I am on the hunt for a 4611S (oops - I meant 4711S). Man.. it's always something......
