i thought SuperStock Racer had THE fastest one??
Under 600 cubes, std cam location and Indy heads. More than likely.
first off ssr's black car isnt legal. The blue one hasnt been in the 8's. so no, he is not the fastest. Habura or Sanders is. both have been 8.48.
dap, our heads are legal. all the valve geometry is the same its not like we run a ts or predator head.... we have been to a lot of nss races and have been legal everywhere. sure it has lines sticking out...... so what. it looks the same... next year will be interesting i know of a few guys stepping it up.
NSS shootout at the monster... thats all im saying. lets see who is the fastest. i got money saying SSR isnt even a contender....

Tony did SSR promise you some of his TUBE steak with his special sause to come on here and post that? lol
And no he isnt the fastest he has to pickup his game by 6-8 tenths... Fastest he went was a 8.97 or a .98.... Black car is a 10.5 tire car which means you have him covered right now by a full second almost... Heads up should be good next yr and NSS should be really good as well there will be some guys going real fast for 2012...

Hey Rob, Your 65' still has torsion bar front suspension correct? Also I was informed by another racer that the NMCA rules commitee was listening to opinions on some new rule ideas, one was letting 8.50-9.00 run up to a 14x32 tire. They are trying to get more NHRA/IHRA Super stock cars in the mix like thunderbolts, 64'-67' B Bodies and the AH cudas and darts. Think about it there are a lot of cars that this would make legal. poppaj
PoppaJ did you hear if they confirmed about that tire rule change for 8.50-9.00?

Actually I have been wondering about the B-1 stuff in NSS for quite a while. So with the wording of the rule as per 1.17 with any internal modifications can't you guys run M/C's? After all is is the same casting. I guess is all up to interpretation. Thank you for clearing that up.

Ron Mancini ran a B-1 more than 10 years ago. It was in a 62 dart 4 speed. If memory serves me right it was 452". Ran as quick as 9.15@140+. It kicked a rod and burned the front clip at Gateway. He sold it to someone here in Mi. i haven't seen it since. Doug

I wasnt aware of that Casey that you guys were the only ones running a B1 head... Id figure if it was legal to run a lot more guys would run them since you can make some big power with B1 heads... 2012 should be a good yr for the NSS cars since more racers are stepping up there program...

Ok so no canted valve heads for Mopar. I know in other classes they are very specific about what heads you can and can`t use. They seem vague for NSS for some reason. I think an outlaw F/X class allowing Dominators and SV-1`s might be entertaining
Your car is coming along great Rob
Thanks Dap its taking some time but it will be a nice car when its all done...

Hi Rob, Have not heard anymore on the 14x32 tire talk but I think it will be tough to convice the NMCA to do this since thier top classes run in the 5's on 10.5w x 33.5's which all A/NSS and all FX classes can run now. They are almost the size of 14x32's. Most guys put them on 15" wide rims. poppaj
Im going to have to get 16" bead locks and do like the outlaw guys do... My rims are 16" wide because the rear is to narrow....
