My daughter's Jeep Liberty(2002) runs the battery down if its lying up for a few days.
I have heard that they are having some issues with these jeeps going dead , I have heard its something to do with the rear door lock .
When I remove the negative battery terminal , there is some draw there. When I put my test lamp across the cable to the battery terminal, I get a flashing of the lamp similiar to a signal light flashing and the rear electric door lock keeps clicking .
I pulled the connector off the door lock to see if that would stop but the test light keep flashing .
Any service techs here or did anyone else have this problem .
Any info would be appreciated as Winter is here and she need it for work .

Start pulling 1 fuse at a time to see which circuit
is drawing

The radio does draw some power so it remembers the
set channels and time... you can unplug the radio
and see if thats what your seeing
EDIT
My Jeep has those fuses plus a fuse panel on the right
kick panel... pull those fuses one at a time... the
AOD does draw also which might be what you pulled

HI MIke , I did pull all those fuses behind then side panel but only one at a time because not all the sockets were filled and i didn't want to get "confused" .
Personally I think it may be something to do with the emergency flashers or the burglar alarm system. the test lamp flashes just like if the emerg flashers were on or if the alarm system was activated . You know how the radio and signal lights flash on and off when the alarm is activated.

Its factory . ,,,, the one with the key fob like its activated when you lock the doors with the remote(key fob)and then go and open the door by placing the key in the door. I;m not sure but it could be the other way , when you lock the vehicle manually and then try to open with the remote.
Sometimes you hear a car in a parking lot with the horn blowing intermittently , well thats somebody that unlocking a vehicles but not as they locked it.

I was also told by a tech about the rear door lock . so i disconnected the plug in the tailgate but the test lamp was still flashing. Just wondering if there are another set of wire going to the lock . i only could feel the one plug in through the small access panel . i never removed the full rear door panel .
Do you have any idea where the BCM is located and the price ?

how old is the battery? If it's the original it's done. Newer cars seem to go thru batteries quicker. 5 years is about it.

Battery was purchased about two weeks ago with same results as with old battery
