Hmmm, messing around tonight and looks like I might have to fab something up. How did you guys attached the cable to the carb (4500)? I would rather get rid of the cable and have a solid linkage, but will have to save that for another time.

if your cable has a clevis type end on the cable then just use a pin with a small clip, if you are talking mounting the cable to the carb then Jeg's has a nice mounting system, thats what I used on my dommy and it eliminated the mount on the manifold which you normally have to modify to work.

Are you using a factory A body cable or a morse cable?

Igot mine from jegs had to melt the cover off the cable for it to work

Just buy a throttle bracket kit from Mancini or Hughes.

Jegs bracket and Lokar cable for me.

I used a throttle cable from an early 80's half ton with a straight six. The throttle bracket i used was the jegs throttle bracket
