I have worked on a 71 Demon with shorter retractors (only like 1") than other 71's, anyone else find this issue?
The funny thing about science is that if you change one miniscule parameter you change the entire outcome to the way you want it.

i did a bit of research a year or so ago and it could have came both ways non retractor or short retractor, the service manual is no help and just has generic pics of belt layout, there was a specific retractor for the bucket seat that was shorter than the bench style, it looks exactly like the bench style and the same amount of belt pulls out from both but its about half the length, i found a pair for my demon after looking a long long time.

heres a pic of the BENCH style i had in my car, the bucket style looks identical but the chrome buckle is only as high as the bottom of the hinge side cover. (i dont have a pic of the correct retractor yet)
