Have you considered a HEMI Products Wedge Block? Has all of the tricks used on the HEMI block but made for a wedge head. Block is already filled to freeze plugs, it is Cast that way for extra main support. 4 bolt mains. super thick deck so you can cut them as much as you need. Cross braced in the lifter galley to resist any twisting. You Can get them with a tall deck raised .500 or a raised cam if you need it. 100% made in the USA and milled in Knoxville,TN Priced competitively too. 865-310-7513 for Dave

How much power do you expect to make?
Last I checked... the difference between the Koleno and the World blocks was about $1,400.

Is there any real world feedback on these blocks???
I'm curious to hear from people that have run them.

I was sold on the Koleno but when I called Hughes to order they said they werent making the 4.310 bore that I needed so I got the World. Either is a great improvement
Sorry about not being able to supply you with a small bore block. Our hands were kind of tied at that time with Roush. We now are lined up with a smaller machine shop however, it is someone very knowledgable about Mopar. This should make it so that we can offer different machining opperations to better fit customer needs. We have been really putting the squeeze on him to get us machined blocks as we have several orders comming in and were supposed to have them finnished by now. He is getting close but due to specially made tools he says it is taking longer than expected.

Jimmy, some of the differences between the two are: Koleno- All 5 cross bolted mains World- Cross bolted on 4 mains Koleno- Strenghtening valley ribs on ALL blocks World- Ribs on some?? Koleno- Billet steel main caps World- Cast iron main caps Koleno- Billet freeze plugs World- Pop in freeze plugs Koleno- ARP hardware World- ???
But perhaps the biggest single difference between the two is the oil system. The Koleno block has a PRIORITY OILING SYSTEM where the bearings are oiled before anything else. Worlds block oils through the lifter galley.
Koleno- +$3,500 World- -$3,500
In my opinion, both great blocks but....you get what you pay for!

I Have a world block although it's aluminum it's "oiling is main priority" I didn't see the spec's for a cast iron block, but why cast one differently? unless one was more desirable for a specific application? Also the aluminum block has screw in freeze plugs and I believe the mains are billet steel..again you get what you pay for and the aluminum world block can be quite a bit more $. depending who someone orders through. Also mine came with a.r.p hardware.

Just the basic 500 CI, with a 4.375 bore and 4.15 crank.I plan on taking my crank , rods, & pistons and install in the new block.I am going aftermaket block so later on I can go to a 540 or 572.My last 2 440 blocks , 1st one lasted 130 1/8mi passes the bottom end had a girdle, 2nd block w/ alum. caps and hardblok lasted 44 passes. So the next block is going to be a koleno or world.Car is a tube chassis, 2575 wt, runs 5.56 in the 1/8,and I guess I have found the limit for stock 440 blocks. Wish I had never quit on the 400 blocks, the 471 lasted 500 passes before alum. main cap broke & it ran 5.60 .
Glad to no that those factory 400 cast blocks r a little stronger than the 440's my next block will be a after market block with the same combo but built for reliability
