I'm really hurting right now....I'm numb with sorrow.
From the very first day I had the good fortune to wander into this site, Gary was the first one that made me feel like this was "Home". Aside from being cut from the same Mopar cloth, as many of us are, Gary felt like somebody I've known my whole life. We've pm'ed many many times over the years and spoke on the phone for long long times about strokes, rod ratios, cams, intakes and Dana 60's. We also spoke of Family, of our wives support of this crazy thing that consumes our free time, and of the joys of fatherhood and being a friend. Like many of us, I feel like I've lost a good friend. I was so looking forward to meeting him, hopefully at Indy this year.
At times like these, one feels so powerless. It seems all we can do his hold him and his family close in our hearts, get on our knees and pray to God to watch over his loved ones and bestow his grace upon them. We can also offer whatever love and support we can to Gary's family, and may we all find peace in knowing he's up there with the Lord. We can also find strength in one other, many of us have been Gary's extended family as we are also family to eachother.
I know I'll never forget him. The very next time you crank up your Mopar, let Gary hear it up there. Somehow, I know he's up there waitin' on us, and to hear that rumble and knowing we're thinking of him will make him smile.
I will miss you every single day, my brother

Oh my God - what a shock! I can't believe what I'm reading!
I've met Gary a few times & what a decent person he was.
I am deeply saddened to hear this. My deepest sympathies go out to his wife, children, & all who were related to him & his friends. He was a big part of Moparts.
I will never forget this. It is so sad. Everybody drive carefully - life is already short.
RIP Gary.

I saw this post this morning, and tried to reply, but couldn't find the words. It's been on my mind all day.
God bless you Gary, and thank you for being a part of my life.

I always enjoyed reading his posts. I'm at a loss for words right now. My condolences to his wife and family.

Unlawfl helped me out quite a bit. He had good advise and a good sense of humor. He will be missed.
May God grant peace and patience to his family to be able to endure this loss.
I'm still trying to catch my breath from hearing the news...

When I first saw this this morning, I was stunned. I looked at a few of the replies but had to stop and compose myself, since I was at work. When you think of some of the main folks who have made Moparts the best Mopar site on the web, Gary was one of those folks. A great Mopar guy, a great cop, a great family guy, and a great American. In stark contrast to those we are fighting on the other side of the world. He was so helpful, encouraging, and kind. I have never met him or even exchanged posts with him on here I guess. But I know we are all a little better persons ourselves because of him. I actually had the Mopar Muscle issue in my minivan that Gary and his car were in a year ago. When I met my wife at Subway for lunch I took the mag with me to tell her what had happened today. My prayers and thoughts go out to his family and his friends. I lost my teenage son and daughter in an auto accident back in '96. The empty spots are never filled, but God gives the grace to go on.
