I'm going to put in the headliner on my 73 Cuda this weekend and I got a couple of questions. I was doing a mock up of the headliner bows, do the bows touch the insulation on the top of the car or are they supposed to be free hanging? Also what kind of glue did you use, I some spray on 3M adhesive or should I use some kind of paint on adhesive?

Use contact cement in a can with a brush in the lid. The bows will find there place when your stretch the headliner out. Checkout resto Ricks site. web page

Thanks, any preference on what brand of contact cement? Where the bows hook into the sides of the roof I have three holes which position the bow higher or lower. On one setting the bow is flush against the insulation padding on the roof and in another position the bows are about a half inch or so from the top. Just wondering which is correct or if it don't matter.

Mine were in the lower holes. Not sure about which brand contact cement, it's the stuff that stinks like crazy and drys up soon after you open the can.
