I have been having weird electrical issues with my car and finally found it over the summer. It turns out that I had the 20amp continuous master disconnect switch powering up my car. I replaced it with the 300amp switch from Jegs and the car is running 30* cooler and my fuel pressure fluctuation issues are now gone. I took it to Atco on sunday to see what the car would do now. My previous best was 10.093 @ 131.93 at pinks at E-Town. Last year the car felt like a turd only going 10.30`s-10.40`s . I got 3 decent passes in Sunday. 1- 1.464 60',6.473 660 @ 108.46 10.11 @ 134.43 2- 1.467 60' 6.528 660 @ 106.16 10.24 @ 132.44 3- 1.461 60' 6.45 660 @ 108.55 10.084 @ 135.21. So this weekend the tight 8" converter comes out and the loose one goes in. The car weighs in at 3300lbs and was run through Hooker Aero chamber mufflers.

It never ceases (SP?) to amaze me how many different gremlins mess with us car racers I was thinking of a conversation I had this afternoon with another Mopar membert on here about different wasy you can mess a motor up racing it, probally at least 8000 different ways to mess one up and only one way to get it right I have probally personnaly have learned about 7888 of them

I am sure I will find something else. What it will be who knows? This one has been bugging me for a long time

Nice work DAP....4 mph is an excellent gain in MPH. Just a matter of time and you'll be solidly in the 9's

I know all about those Gremlins !!!

These are the SR`s that I got from Muscle Motors to replace my Bulldog heads. Muscle motors did a stage 2 port when I got them. The next year I had Dwayne do a Roller upgrade and he redid them. They now flow 340 @ .700 on his old bench.
Comp is 13.4:1. I shift at 7100. Indy 440-3 intake ootb and a pro systems Dominator.

Edit:I talked to Dwayne just now. There is nothing left from the original work. He did say there is more left in them though.

Your SR flow the same as mine You might want to try a 1.0 or 1 .5 or 2.0 inch tall phenolic spacer under the carb I have on a engine dyno test and it was worth 8 HP I also had Bob Goerge modify my 440-3 intake, that really helped even out the fuel distribution according to the EGT on the engine dyno tests I didn't do a back to back test on the intake mods so I can't give you reliable test results but the EGT readings where way better after the mod Money well spent in my opinion

Thanks for the info Cab. I will give that a try in the spring. I am going to do the converter swap this weekend and dropping the exhaust and going hunting
