I took a set of seat upholstery for a 71 Demon and a set of seats from a Dart to the upholstery shop, and they are saying that the actual seat cushion part of the rear seat is too large for the covers to fit.

Would the rear seat lower section for a 70 Swinger be larger than the lower back seat section in a 71 Demon? Or is there just something wrong with the seat cover lower section I got? Anyone really familiar with the differences in seats?

I went and looked at it. The width is fine, but the depth and height are both off by about 3". I don't know if the cover was made incorrectly, or if the Demon seat is actually smaller in those directions.

It would'nt surprise me if the sports hardtop bodies(duster, dart sport, demon) were narrower in the rear seat.

doesn't the duster/demons have the 2 passenger rear seat and the darts/scamps have the 3 passenger rear seat I know the front seats are the same. I just had a thought that dusters would hold 5 passengers and darts would hold 6??

The width (side-to-side) of the seat is the same. It's the depth (front to back) and the height that is not right for the cover.
