And you know what? I must be retarded, the heads flow 330 @ .700 not 230. What a dolt I am. I really shouldn't drink before before noon.
I knew something was wrong with that picture. I think 9.60s are a given. with a better converter you could reach 50s or better imo. oh yea say a prayer for the rear.
To be honest I'm not worried about the rear...yet. It's an aluminum carrier with a pro gear and only 44" wide. It's well braced but I have to admit that if I had it to do over again I would have gone with a Dana.

A converter redo is also needed I know but that will have to wait until after the holidays.

my 422 w5 with a hair smaller cam, TTi headers, and a single dominator went 9.85 at 3350 pounds on gas, with a 727, small tires and leaf springs.
If this runs as good,( and with a bigger cam and better headers it should easily) and is 700 pounds lighter with a 904, it should go 9.20's without working up a sweat at 142- 143ish.

10.0 @ 135 first run
First pass doesn't count as it will be a half track pass just to make sure nothing falls off the car.

I have no complaints about the way the car works, it just leaves like it's on a string.

2650 is with me in it as it sits on the line. Maybe I should mention these are small chamber W5's with double quench pads, .032 piston to head.
At .032 piston to head you are risking having the piston hit the head at upper RPM's... .038 clearence is as tight as I would set it up at. Good luck! My 11.to 1 410 with edelbrock heads and 600 lift solid lifter cam ran 10.08 at 131, race weight 3134 #s

My old engine was .027 piston to head. 7500 rpm and more without a problem.
