And expensive. A billet drum is a lot cheaper than what that will cost.

but but but ... we don't need no stinkin billet parts ...

John, your starting to sound like Doc Fiberglass

No , I said that in a language that is known to man ...

I was waiting for the old timers to chime in that they never had or needed a billet drum or super sprag ...

The first thing to buy and bolt into a 727. A&A ultimate Sprag. Nice piece... But with mis-use? Or abuse? Anything can fail. Stay safe guys!!

I'd have to disagree with that. The cost of that sprag is money better put towards a billet drum and LBA valve body.

The first manual valve body I owned (1970) was made by B&M. It was a LBA valve body.

I just did a trans for a car that may see the track once , put the A+A sprag in , better money spent because the car doesn't need the $700 drum.

HEYHEYHEY! CRIPE! i'm an old timer, and my tf is full of billet. i like stuff not coming through the floor and trying to hurt me. and fire. i like fire as much as the next guy, but not in the car, and that happens a lot when the drum goes clank. i've seen drums go through carbon fiber shields. i don't thing anything can stop a drum that really wants to come through the floor and leave you on fire with one foot. imo any tf that's run on a dragstrip should have a billet drum.

for what is the good life if not doing things thoughtfully?

That looks like the blanket that Chuck Lofgren used to sell. I have one on my car as well as my dads. Great fit.... and they do work.

I got one recently. He still sells them!
