I have adjustable roller rockers on my 440 with Rhoads Lifters. This is how I do mine:

Put each lifter in a quart of oil and "plunge" them with a pushrod until you no longer see bubbles. Install them in the bores etc etc....I adjust each pushrod until it just begins to plunge the lifter, then give it a 1/4 turn more and lock it down. I usually go back and measure the adjusting screw on each rocker to verify they are all equal. Never had a single problem doing it this way. Hope it helps.

do not fill the lifters with oil ...you want the plunger to be able to be pushed down with the pushrod while you are adjusting the lifter...

The engine has already been running, I'm having to pull the driver side head off due to it leaking antifreeze out in between the block and head so everything was good to begin with. I had drove the car about 5 miles before it started leaking. Not real sure what the problem is until i pull the head off.

That's what Rhoads recommends.

That's why I mentioned the type of lifters I used. Sorry for any confusion, I should really stop answering questions on here and leave it to the experts.

Sorry for my post, just do it however you want or ask the guy that built the engine for you originally. I have no clue what I'm talking about.
