I logged in after I got to work this AM and read every post in this string. What a fine, fine tribute to, in my mind, a man who's ID is synonymous with Moparts. I am proud to be a part of a group of people who, tied together by this hobby, care so deeply for each other. True friends and brothers. My condolences go out to each and every one of you who knew this fine man personally or on this board. My prayers go out to his wife and family. The end of Gary's life on this earth brings us to the stark realization about our own mortality. My encouragement goes out to us all, to make every moment count, and to seek out God as a source of peace, comfort and truth.

I believe that sometimes God takes the special ones home early. By the words on this board, it's more than obvious that this man was very, very special.

I'm at a loss for words.......

I'm glad I got to finally meet him in person last year at Norwalk.

My condolences to his wife, family and friends......

Gary was a standup guy, my thoughts and prayers go out to his family.

Meet Gary last year at the Mopar Nationals. Only talked for a few minutes, very likable guy. What a shock to see this. All I been thinking about is getting home to spend time with my wife and kids.

I can't believe I'm reading this.
I had never met Gary but I felt as thou I knew him reading about the progress on his car,everyday happenings he sometimes posted on here and that special day you guys all get together there in Michigan,I had always wanted to go to that some day.
We have lost a great person here and I have already said a prayer.I can only imagine how devastated his family is.
I believe the Lord decides when it's our turn to go but it really hurts when it's such a good person and at an early age.
Rest in peace Gary.

I never met him, but through this board it did not take me long to realize he was truly a class act. He will be sorely missed by a great many who he so positively affected. My thoughts are with his family, community, colleagues and friends

I first met Gary and Nicki when they made a trip to Canada to pick up his car trailer,Since then I felt he was a "best friend" even though distance prevented us from being together as often as some of you who live closer. He and Nicki opened their home to us on many occassions and their generosity was overwhelming.
GARY, you are a truly wonderful human being, I can't say I (in my 53 years)have ever met a finer person , and would consider myself fortunate if I do, again, before I depart this earth.I salute you and pray your journey is one of great rewards for all you accomplished while here on earth.
It is said that behind every great man there is a great woman, and this is so very true when it comes to Gary and Nicki.She is every bit Garys equal when it comes to serving and protecting (she to is an officer)her generosity, kind spirit and attitude are truly what God saw when he matched Gary and Nicki.

Woohww... don't know what to say. Never even had an email conversation or what-so-ever but if you said unlawfl you said moparts. One of the famous moparts members which, from reading his posts, is a very nice fellow!

I never met Gary, but I always felt he was a moparts friend and a fellow law enforcement officer. I am truly saddened by this news, as he will definitely be missed! My prayers are with Gary's wife, family, fellow officers and friends. God bless you my friend!

i like so many others here never met gary, but i had a sense of knowing him through his posts, he always had good advise or something positive to say, truely a great guy. you never know when your numbers up. a great loss to his family, his friends, moparts, the police force, and everyone he was in contact with his whole life. i miss you gary, rip.

Gary and I only knew each other through this board and never met face to face, but it's a real shock to be reading this. I hope that his family can find some comfort in the fact Gary was so highly esteemed by so many, and lost his life while trying to make the world a safer place. I offer my condolences to all of Gary’s family and friends.

This is just horrible, although I never met him, this is like the loss of a friend. I'd really like to pass on my sincerest condolences to his family and very many friends. He will be deeply missed and remembered in my prayers.

My deepest condolences & prayers to his family

I have had several spirited conversations with Gary about mopars, racing and law enforcement. He was a great guy and no matter how hard I pushed him he never seemed to get mad at me. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family, I pray that they have the strength to make it through these difficult times.

Sorry to hear. He was a young dude with a great 'tude. He had lots of positive energy that he shared willingly. I will miss him, too...
