I've ran a few different ones of these on various projects and never had any trouble with them. Always ran better than with the junk I took off. You can recurve the advance with a gm hei advance kit.

And here's another option that is a bit nicer.
Works the same but doesnt have the module out in that little housing.
Might fit a little better depending on what you have going...

I like the large cap GM version because of how it only needs 1 wire to run. Coil and everything is in it, but it likely wont clear the firewall in an a body.
