Didn't know if someone might know some voodoo trick in removing a door to make it easier to install? Have thought of using spray between the door bottom and the rocker to make a form to set the door back in place. Need to put plastic in there first so the foam will not stick to anything. Any help to make it earier to install will be greatly appreciated. Doing the job single-handed is quit challenging.

Your foam idea is interesting, but I'm not sure how much it's realy going to help. The problem is its' a big door and no matter how good your hindges are, there is always a little slop. I put the doors on by myself on a 71 Challenger. I removed the striker and actually lifted the back of the door about 1/4 to 1/2 higher while I tightened the bolts for the hidges. Once I removed the shims lifting the back end of door up, the hinges settled out. Took a few tries with different shim sizes, but not too hard.

Good Luck

Some people drill small holes in the hinges and install dowl pins. This makes aligning the doors much easier. Of coarse you have to have the doors adjusted properly before you drill. If your doors are already removed this doesn't help you.

Try a floor jack with a 2x4 on the pad, the best ones are the type with a groove routered out for strapping a crate....

I am not sure I understand the question. You asked how to remove a door, and the responses seem to me to be for installing the door. Not getting the plastic under the door at all. Can you install the door closed on an e-body?
I use an engine hoist to hold the door in position. Used to use the floor jack with block of wood, but once I got a hoist it is much easier. By one handed do you mean alone (single handed)or you only have one hand?
By your self, no problem, if one handed you should maybe inlist some help.

I have mechanical Aptitude.
I can screw up anything.
