I'm looking for a plain jane set of chrome valve covers for my 65 big block. Most aftermarket I see have something stamped in them to strengthen I guess and don't look original. The ones shown on the 440source site look pretty close. Can anyone tell me if they are like the originals with no brackets welded on, baffles under the breather holes, left and right the same? Thanks for the help. rbd

I haven't seen the 440Source ones, give 'em a call. AMD is reproducing the OEM style, and might have some in chrome ('67 GTX, R/T, & 383 A-body).

You want baffles under the breather holes to prevent the pcv from sucking in oil.

I dont know how original they look, but I just checked ebay and found some for my smallblock. I put in "mopar smallblock valve covers" and everything from stockers, to mopar performance, to chrome, and aluminum popped up. Might be worth a try. I also checked autozone for an engine dress up kit and found one that included baffled valve covers, T-fasteners, bolt pressure spreaders, breather, dipstick and tube, etc...all chrome. Might be worth a shot.
