Hi Guys,

I'm looking at buying a rebuilt converter for a b/b push button. Can anyone share any experience good or bad? I'm not racing but would like one with a little higher stall speed than stock just in case.

thanks

If your PB trans still has the 19-spline input shaft your choices are limited, if it has been changed to the later input shaft look for an 11" converter for a '68-'70 340 or 383HP.

ORE you could find a OEM '65(I think) "race" converter

I honestly don't remember where I got it .. but it has been in my 62 since almost day-one. I just LOVE that converter.

I would suggest putting in a WANTED ad here ...

Guys,

Thanks for the replies, I have been offered one new rebuilt & unused that will suit my trans. My question is should I be looking for anything in particular? ie are they any good once they've been rebuilt

thanks

Have you checked with "Torqueflite Patty"? I've been happy with the convertors for my early 727 as well as my early 904.

Hi,

Rebuilt & unused?

LOTS of places offer "rebuilt" converters ...and they have never been cut-apart .... REBUILT ? ...yeah right. ...

ALL some do is buff-the-hub up, drain the converter of old ATF and put new ATF in it.
