Has anyone here tried the Summit Glasspacks? I was looking at buying a set of the Dynomax Race Bullets but I noticed the Summit glasspacks sound like the same thing. I was looking at the 3" inlet/outlet version.
Dynomax Race Bullets described as:
"Glass-wrap perforated tube"
12" long body, 4" around

Summit glasspacks description:
"mufflers combine a louvered center tube with fiberglass packing"
12" long body, 4" around

So, to me, they sound like the same thing. Except the Summit glasspacks are about half the price. Yes, the Dynomax are aluminized steel vs the Summit naked steel but I am only concerned with the sound difference between the two.

Has anybody heard the Summit brand vs the Dynomax Race Bullets? Similar? Different?

I have the Summit glasspacks and my exhaust basically sounds like it would through open pipes (the glasspacks keep the car legal, though). They result in virtually no flow restriction. I'm happy with 'em.

We've used the 4inch Dynomax ones for 2 seasons. We have a 120 db limit at the tracks. They dropped 124.4 to 120.1 db with no loss of performance.
Still too loud for the street though!
