I need some help locating a good quality reproduction A12 hood for a 1969 A12 Road Runner. I don't want racing weight fiberglass. I do want the hood to have the ducting underneath so that it works with the A12 air cleaner base. Quality and accuracy are more important than cost.

Any suggestions on locating a company that makes a quality reproduction hood that meets my criteria is appreciated.

Why not buy an original?

the car is not an original A12 car (and will not be represented as an original) so a good quality repop works for my purposes.

Have you tried Year One? They "had" the best most accurate reproduction A12 hoods, haven't looked lately to see if they still offer them but that IMO is the best option for a reprodution and as Mike said an original is the other.

Here's how to tell the differences:

BTW that original hood in the link is my hood and I wetted it with water to show the crappy job that was the "norm" on the original hoods and how it is "green" from the resin.
