Hi,

Im looking to buy a twin snorkel scoop for my Dart Sport. I know of AAR but I also know their prices. I stumbled on VNF from the Chicago area and I was wondering if anyone has ever dealt with them or even better gotten on of these scoops from them.

If so what was the quality like? Can you show me any pics? My car is no show car but I dont want to buy a piece of junk either.

I've done a Google search and as far as I can find most people are happy with them... although most are chev forums and it wouldn't matter if they put a turd on their cars....

Thanks for the input

VFN quality is beyond poor in my experience,
The service after the sale is even worse, CA'Ching credit card cleared, you got what we sell, QUESTIONS??? call somebody who cares,
Very Fraudulently Not seems applicable (keep it clean)

extremely low quality. good for maybe a low buck drag car or something. I bought a T/A scoop, rear deck spoiler & frt spoilers for a Challenger yrs back. spent more to get them presentable than it would have cost to have bought quality stuff.

The hood for my car was excellent! Fit was great and it was some of the best glass my body guy has worked with.

My drag car is far from "low Buck", just ask my wife....

Think Mine is a Fritz / First Place Auto Parts made one
I think that I got it when I got the wing both were made very well.
They do make 2 kinds since a dart sport hood and Duster is not the same shape.
Sprayed with the real Organsoil odd stock vinyl decals on the hood {2 parts} and instead of painted behind the hood as books show and was done at factory we did:
The same decal material that was for the hood and cut slits and heated and rolled it into the vent openings

I have a VFN dual snorkel. The outside of the scoop looks fine. The mounting is nothing like factory. Just has a few mounting brackets attached. Looks weak and cheesy. Still, for the price ( about $120 compared to everyone elses $300) I'm happy. I will probably add some extra material and maybe use studs like the factory. I don't mind considering the money saved. I have to reshape the bottom anyway since it's going on a '72 Duster, which has the raised center on the hood.

I just bought a VFN "70 Machine" scoop for my Rebel. Finish is nice, comes with built in studs. Although the weight/ thickness of the fiberglass is definately lighter than stock Mopar scoops. Not a bad piece, but I didn't have much in the way of alternatives. For your scoop I'd buy one from BE&A/ First Place/ or Dales Cuda Shop.

I just got a rear spoiler from First Place and what a NICE piece. Pricier than I could've gotten elsewhere, but oh, so much nicer too...
