Josh's race was paying way more than $3000 to win Pro and it looked like it was gonna be a 7 round race.
I went 7 rounds at Norwalk this month and only got $50! And that was a 9 round race.
Thats because you went to a Mo-Power events race. They have jumped on the bandwagon of advertising their WIN and then paying diddly to everyone else that goes rounds. $50 to get to 4 cars or even 8 for that matter doesn't work when you are asking 75% of your racers to travel to your races. There is not a single bill for the weekend that a guy can pay with that. You are lucky to buy dinner for that. I am not bashing them by any means, its just a fact. You cant pay a bunch for the winner and runner up and leave everyone else out in the cold. Especially when people expect that one of about 8 guys/girls that are regulars in the final rounds of these races is gonna take it home. Thats always been a big draw to Monster Mopar cause you can make it 16 cars and get $100. A guy feels like he got something then. Spread the cheese!!!
In 2003 I ran the Friday gambler at MMW, got down to 5 cars, lost in the fifth round and got zip... Guy in the tower said they only paid the top 4. That night they only had to pay 3 spots.
I sure wish Josh was local to us, and could promte a MOPAR race up here. We have been to 3 or more MMW's and when it was in STL it was a 10 hour drive. INDY was a 13 hour drive. Norwalk even further. Mopar Nats I think was 16, but we went to our last one of those in 2006.

Were you able to make it to my race?
Myself and Dad could not make the race due to work and motor problems in both cars.
My Dad wants to travel to the big money races, We went to the Bristol triple 20's that Pete Biondo and others put on and that a great race with lots of prizes to win even if you lose a round.
We paid 600.00 to enter the 4 Day race and won our entry money back in the first day. Can't beat that....
Josh your show was a big hit with me and our race Team Mopar Mafia Racing. I was not even their to get wet and enjoy it .. But I will be going next year.
The prime Rib feast is the best!!! here is a photo of the Meat!!

I would love to see that race come to Norwalk but I doubt it will happen with the other race still bringing it in. At least that's the impression I got from what Bader was saying at the banquet last year.
Some of the things he mentioned were dropping some races that were not making $$$ (super Chevy, fun ford, Fri Night chaos) and giving back to their core customers, the weekend bracket racers.
However one thing he did say that with the turnout the Mopar race in Sept has has in the past that their will always be one.
It's my humble opinion that while the Mo Power race is still there and doing well they probably wont host another all Mopar race.

One thing to keep in mind is that one of the reasons that Norwalk race does so well is that no other NHRA tracks are running that weekend except the bracket finals in Indy.
AFCO, Rons Fuel Injection sponsored Dodge Challenger
Mention Street Lethal Motorsports
