I recently discovered that I have a pinhole in my oil pan. It is located about 3-4 inches to the left (driver side) of the drain plug. Big enough to leak when warm, small enough that I'm not losing a lot of oil.
I am looking for suggestions on how to repair this without pulling the engine.
It is a 383 in a cuda.
Anyone have some thoughts? Thanks!

JB weld or epoxy for a temporary fix. If you have a hole from rust it will only get worse. Best bet is to change the pan.

Thanks for the answers! Hadn't thought about the epoxy. Should have mentioned it isn't cause by rust, best I can see anyway. Just appears to be a small little hole.
I really thought I had to pull the engine to pull the pan. I would like to get it temporarily corrected that allows me to drive it, till I can afford to yank the engine and go through it. It see's limited use in the summers.
Please keep any more suggestions coming. These are very helpful. They are appreciated!

just use a #6 sheetmetal screw and some rtv, sand the area around the hole then just snug the screw down, its a permenent fix.
haha, that's what i said in my post above; except you got all fancy with a #6 screw and all!!! by far the easiest way to fix it...takes 3 mins...

Clean it up good and solder it with a big electric gun.

Thank you all for the replies!
My first idea was silver solder. I don't have access to a welder either, sadly, or I think I might have tried that.
I might actually give the screw/epoxy thing a go. Sounds pretty easy and safe.
Will be able to get at it next weekend during Thanksgiving (Canadian), which gives me 3 days to screw it up.
You guys rock!
