Not all the way there yet.I use anti seize on the damper hub also.

Did you check the clearances? Alot of dampers, if not most, need honed to fit.

not 2 sound dumb what would be the proper way to use the inst tool
Once you hone it a little I just use a grade 8 bolt with 3 good washers and pull it on with my impact wrench (use a couple different bolt lengths if needed so you have at least the bolt diameter into the crank and dont bottom out)

If it was on another engine MORE THAN LIKELY it will fit yours... pull it on with a impact and a grade 8 bolt and a few good washers

Maybe they sold it cause they could never get it on all the way. Hone it and use a good balancer pusher to install. And use anti seize as already mentioned.

Mine won't fit cold. I heat it up 250 degrees or a little more and it slides right on. I also use a little anti-seize.
Yeah, it's got a smallblock.

And how much "grunt" on the puller do you have to use ...to pull it off?
