I'm going to put a 5.7 Hemi in a 70 Duster. Got the car...got the Hemi, just haven't started putting it together yet. Still in the learning phase myself! I plan on using TTI headers and mounts with a stock k frame. In an A-body, you can't run PS with a new Hemi. Not a biggy to me. Street & Performance in Arkansas sells a good harness to do the conversion. I'm going to use a 545RFE transmission out of a 2wd truck/SUV. I may be wrong, but I think Daty Rogers has a late 60's Cuda with a 5.7 Hemi. I know somebody here did a white Cuda with a 5.7 a few years ago I stumbled into a 5.7 with 6K miles on it,and it has the exhaust manifolds on it...but I want headers so I don't have to hack the frame rail to get them to work. I talked to a guy at TTI, and he assured me their A body headers fit good, and all tubes go over the steering. They will only work with the starter on the drivers side. The 545 has it on the drivers side like a 727, but the NAG1 tranny from an LX car has it on the passenger side.Doesn't matter, cause the NAG1 doesn't work in these conversions anyway. And for an oil pan, Milodon makes a nice and fairly priced pan, pickup, windage tray for new Hemis in old Mopars. That's the extent of my knowlege of Gen III Hemi into A-body......so far!

Nice info, just to add a little more info. You can run power steering if you convert to rack & pinion steering.
