I rewired my headlamps on my challenger so that when the high beams are on all 6 elements are on. Not used it long enough to see if it causes overheating of the bulb plugs though. I used a relay box from a Tercel and 1 diode. Seems to work for me. Curt
Oh yeah...THAT'S gonna leave a mark!

This has been convered a few times, but the general idea is to use Hella H4 conversion headlamps (I prefer to get them from www.rallylights.com ) with relays to power them, instead of simply straight replacing your sealed beam headlamps. I've found that they work fine IF your stock wiring and headlight switch is in good condition, but honestly, it's a good idea to install relay and maximize the light output of the bulbs. The 55/60W bulbs always put out more than enough light on the vintage two-headlight vehicles I used them on.

Bought and installed this Hella kit in my '69 Super Bee. Everything just plugs into stock harnesses, and I haven't run relays for it yet, but its working fine so far. Cant argue with the price these guys have and they ship super quick: http://classicgarage.com/53hehekit.html
