Looks like an old 650 DP. Might be a 750, but the bore size looks pretty small.

Thanks guys,i bought 2 holleys today because the price was so good.

3310-4 4160 750cfm vacum secondaries
List-6210 4165 650cfm manual secondaries,spread bore

So now i need some more help again,i have problems getting my charger 68 383 working good when cruising at idle for long times,it gets too much fuel at idle so i have to have the idle at about 1000rpm,it works great at wot but i cruise it alot more than drive it with wot, i also want to have down the gas mileage a little because it is terrible today with my 1412 800cfm edelbrock, but also i dont want to loose yo much power, here is my engine setup.

Block 383 Hi-Nickel Content (not original block)
Bore .030 over
Mopar steel rods
Keith Black 9.0 to 1 comp pistons
Moly rings
Clevite 77 main & rod bearings
Forged steel crank shaft
Complete balanced assembly
Cylinder heads (906) large valves with hard seats
Valve job with comp springs
Comp hyd cam 272 degree x 480" of lift
Cloyes dbl roller chain & gears
Melling high volume oil pump
Intake manifold is a HP 383 with Edelbrock 800 cfm mod #1412
Pertronics electronic ignition with MSD coil
Exhaust is a 383-440 magnum HP manifolds

I dont know much about carbs but im trying to learn, wich carb of these three i now have would work for me best, is it possible to get it working with the 1412 that is on it now,the carb is like new,can it be
problems with float level in it or would it work better with smaller jettings,i think it is taken right out of the box,i dont know because i bought i from the states,we have onlu set the ignition and screwed at the idle mixture screws but it did not get any better.

My vote is for that 3310. Had one on my old 383 for years.....ran flawless for a street car!

The Edelbrock carb is going to be a better choice for a cruiser than the Holley, but either can be made to work if you're willing to spend the time (and money)

In the old days it took a fair amount of work to dial a carb in but today you can buy an O2 sensor as well as modern metering blocks for the carb. The O2 sensor will tell you if you are lean or rich, the modern metering blocks allow you to adjust each fuel circuit.

I dont know if the edelbrock 800 is out of the box or if it is tuned after that,if so it has these out of box.
Metering jets primary .113
Secondary .101
Metering rods .071x.047
Step up spring orange 5" Hg
How does those sound on my engine, some people tell me that carb wont ever work well on that motor because it has to big venturies, true or false?

As i said im trying to learn about carbs, can someone try to explain how a carb like this works from the fuelinlet and all the way until the fuel comes thrue the jets and where are these located on a edelbrock.

Metering jets primary
Secondary
Metering rods

Or if someone has a good site where i can see all these info.

Thanks

The Edelbrock instruction book is very, very good. There are also a couple of books available that cover the Edelbrock carb as well as the Carter carb that the Edelbrock design is based on.
