Nice!! Thanks for the tips, been thinking how to make the side molding perfectly straight on my '66 Belvedere II wagon, even contemplated getting rid of the moldings and convert it to a Belvedere I. It seems my moldings are mismatched, but my intention is to fix it, your car looks great!
When trial assembling my car I found that the front trim mounting holes were 1/4" lower than the doors. After much searching I discovered that the car had Fury fenders, not Belvedere. Believe it or not the factory drilled holes different for the 2 different trim levels. By trimming the edges of the steel clips that held the trim on the front fenders I was able to raise the trim. My car had a passenger door from a 65 Dodge. holes had been drilled to tilt the trim down to match the fender. By careful measuring to the body line ,the holes were re-drilled in the proper location. Minor dings and scratches are easily repaired as well. But that's another story. Good luck with your project. Doug

Thanks, I will check for that, though I've been under the impression that the car is original paint (except for the passenger rear quarter), and therefore original fenders, doors, and driver's side quarter, but who knows. Again, great job on your car, thanks for the tips.
