What gear are you in? I do my burnout in secound gear. Seems to get em spinning fairly fast. If you have really steep gears start in secound and go to third.

Are you using a line lock and just holding the brake pedal?

Im starting in second gear shift into third. I run 4.88 gears.
I engage the line lock(pump the pedal a few times then hit the button)... I start in high gear with a 4.56 gear... give the gas pedal a good whack to start them spinning then watch the revs and I give it like a 3 count then let off the button and burn forwards till you want to quit... the deal is tire speed... faster makes more heat/smoke ![](/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wave.gif)

Drive through water not sitting in it. Pump brakes hit the lock, start in second shift third it hits 6000 hold about 5 sec release line lock roll out. Problem im having is there is no tire smoke.
Are they new or old tires... hold the burn out longer till they smoke some... you could be still too wet ![](/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wave.gif)

They are fairly new. I start to feel a bit of a shudder or vibration in rear when im doing the burnout.
They may be starting to bit... turn up the revs a bit higher ![](/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wave.gif)

You need some video so you can see what is really going on. If you are really doing a burnout that long at that rpm with no smoke, there is a good chance something else is slipping.

That's what the video of the burnout is for. Maybe you're not out of the water as far as you thought you were, maybe you're not holding rpm as long as you thought.
Burnouts are a relatively simple process and you seem to have something out of whack. It's a lot easier to figure things out when you can see them and hear them on video.
