408strokerdart OP master 4 Joined: Feb 2003 Posts: 3,456 Out West	I installed my 3/16" lexan windshield in the factory gasket. It is formed Proglass windshield so the fit is really nice and it has almost no stress on it. My question is: is it necessary to use sealant on the windshield gasket to body in the lower windshield channel? or is it acceptable to just fit the gasket over the pinch weld and install the trim? I just want to make sure I don't loose my fancy new windshield. I think Al's cuda is done this way also.

I used the original glass as a template and left it just a small bit oversized.

There was not enough talent in my garage to install that piece into the new rubber. I contacted my glassman tonight and he said no problem, that he would be here Saturday morning at 9. This is a car that I have been working on for 2 years . It is a hodge pod of all my old racers extra parts , and they are going into a 62 Plymouth wagon. All Sled City Fiberglass parts including tailgate, lexan, light weight doors. It's called "THE WAR PIG".

Doug I had 2 professional glass men come over this morning to put it in . Had the thing almost in and decided the the glass was cut wrong. I have to do some trimming on the lower drivers side corner. As for bending it, no problem. I may have to use a inside brace, but thats required at Bonniville, I believe.
