My 70 Challenger had an aftermarket radio in it but I also got the original AM when I bought the car. I am in the process of putting the AM back in but I don't see a plug in the dash harness that matches the plug on the radio. The one on the radio has an orange and a red wire. I don't see a matching plug like that anywhere under the dash. There are two other plugs though that are the same shape as the radio plug but have different color wiring going into them. Could someone tell me if there should be a plug with the same colored wires to plug into the radio plug or is one of the other two plugs I see under the dash for the radio? If one of the other two is the correct one, could you tell me what colored wires are supposed to be in the dash harness radio plug? If the dash harness plug is supposed to be orange and red then mine appears to be missing. I don't recall at the moment what the wire colors are on the two plugs in the dash harness but I know the colors don't match the plug on the radio. Thanks in advance.
If you need to rewire it, red goes to cavity 8 of the fuse block and powers the radio. The orange wire goes to the panel lamp dimmer. There are usually unused orange taps in the harness for bullet connectors. Craig
