My converter usualy will flash to 35/3600rpms at a steady 50mph cruise to WOT and then the rpms climb from there to my WOT shift points at 5700rpms.
Today I noticed that the flash rpm went to 3500 then instantly jumped to 4200rpms then climbed to my WOT shift point. I tested this 3 different times at 50mph and it had 2 jumps all three times. I am curious why it is doing this double jump in rpms from cruise to WOT.
I have been making chages to the secondary side of the carb, but that is it.

Thanks

It is a DP carb and it was fairly cool this morning. Our temps were in the low 60's at that time. I will keep an eye on it during warmer temps to see if it changes.
Thanks for the replies.
